Who was Jeanette ?

Jeanette was a 13-year-old girl who died from the complications of Type 1 diabetes in 2009. She suffered from ketoacidosis, a complication from the disease in which the body produces too much acid and cannot properly process glucose. Her diabetes was diagnosed when she was eight years old, but it was not managed properly and her levels of insulin and glucose became increasingly unstable until she died. The cause of her death was due to her diabetes not being monitored and managed properly.
