What are three characteristics of the Agricultural Revolution?

Answers

1. Increased Production- The Agricultural Revolution was characterized by an increased production of food, allowing for a wider variety of food availability, and for an increased amount of food for the community. Through increased production of crops, there was also an increase in larger populations, not only in density, but also in total volume. 2. Changed Social Structures- The Agricultural Revolution also changed social structures. This allowed for full-time farmers to work the land, remain in one place, and have access to tools, irrigation, and soil that could otherwise be unavailable. Additionally, this allowed for more specialized occupations, which in turn created more complex forms of governance, and ultimately more complex societies. 3. Advances in Technology- Advances in technology during the Agricultural Revolution allowed for people to start using new inventions such as the plow, irrigation, terracing, and crop rotation, which were all essential in developing more efficient and successful farming practices. This allowed farmers to produce more food than ever before and increase their yields in the process.
