Suppliers Partnership for the Environment

Answers

The Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP4E) is a program developed in 2006 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce environmental impacts in the manufacturing process. The program brings together suppliers, government agencies, environmental organizations and other stakeholders to facilitate collaborations focused on reducing environmental impacts through their products and services. The program focuses on six areas: Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Materials Preservation, Relationship and Reporting, and Supply Chain Efficiency. SP4E seeks to drive sustainable changes that reduce environmental impacts, create cost savings, improve resource efficiency and enhance the reputation of suppliers’ products and services in the market. The program also seeks to provide support and resources to suppliers in order to facilitate the implementation of changes and track progress.
