Strengths of Probability Sampling

1. Representativeness: Probability sampling ensures a sample is a representative subset of the population of interest. The results from a random sample of a population would be accurate in representing the whole population. 2. Reliability: Probability sampling enhances the reliability of the survey results as each individual in the population has an equal chance of being chosen and the selection process is unbiased. 3. Precision: Probability sampling ensures that the survey results are precise given the effective selection process. As a result, it can be said that the results are not vulnerable to selection bias because they are based on a representative sample. 4. Efficiency: Probability sampling helps to make the survey process less time consuming as the selection process is automated and the survey results can be easily and quickly computed.
