In Jamaica, tourism is governed by a number of different agencies, including the Jamaica Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment, and the Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association. The Jamaica Tourist Board is responsible for marketing the destination, setting up and managing touristic infrastructure, and providing assistance to local and international visitors. The Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment is responsible for developing and executing strategies that will contribute to the sector’s growth and sustainability. The Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association is responsible for promoting the interests of Jamaica’s tourist industry, setting industry standards and providing education and training for the sector.
