Social Psychology is a field of psychology that studies the behavior of individuals in a social context. Social psychology encompasses a wide range of topics including memory and decision-making, conformity, aggression, and attraction. At its core, social psychology is focused on understanding how individual behavior is influenced by social and cultural factors. In other words, social psychology seeks to understand how people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by their interactions with other people and with society in general. Social psychology differs from other related disciplines in several key ways. While traditional psychology is primarily focused on individual behavior, social psychology looks at how people interact with and are affected by broader social and cultural contexts. Finally, clinical psychology is focused on the investigation and treatment of mental disorders whereas social psychology looks at the social and cultural contexts in which mental health problems arise and how people cope with them.
