What actually happens if we mix the chloroform with hexane? what is the exact reaction between them & is the resulting product ia stable?

Answers

Chloroform and hexane don't actually react together when mixed. In a closed system, the two substances will remain separate due to different densities and boiling points. If enough heat is applied the two substances may pass each other through vaporization, but this is not technically a reaction. The resulting product is not stable since it will separate into its separate components over time, depending on the mix ratio.
