Name three different agents of erosion that might move a rock once it has been weathered.

Answers

1. Water Erosion: Water erodes rocks by wearing them away slowly with its constant movement. This is most easily seen in rivers, as the water carries rocks and sediment downstream and deposits them elsewhere.

2. Wind Erosion: Wind erosion works in a similar way to water erosion, wearing away at rocks and moving them across the landscape. Wind is especially effective in dry, windy areas such as deserts.

3. Glacier Erosion: Glaciers carry large rocks and boulders as they move, which scratch and scrape against rocks that they pass. As they move, the rocks they carry act like sandpaper, wearing away the surface of the rock that they pass.
