Other factors contribute to creep. What else can cause creep

Answers

Environmental factors can also contribute to creep. When materials are exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture, and other environmental conditions, the material properties may change and lead to creep. Other chemical reactions, such as oxidation and corrosion, can also lead to creep if they create a stress concentration in the material. Additionally, surface contamination, chemical interaction, and fatigue can cause material creep as well. Lastly, vibration and shock loading can induce additional stress, which can also lead to creep.

any activity that disturbs soil and regolith on a sloping surface is a contributor because gravity affects every rearrangement of particles, attracting them downslope
