A jet leaves an airport traveling at a steady rate of 600 km/h. Another jet leaves the same airport 3/4 hr later taveling at 800 km/$ in the same direction. How long will it take the second jet to overtake the first.

The first jet will travel 600km in 1 hour. In 3/4 of an hour, the first jet will travel 450km. The second jet with 800km/h will travel 800km in 1 hour. So it will take the second jet 1/2 hour to overtake the first jet, since it has to travel only 350km to pass the first jet.
