How many distinct permutations of the letters of the word OTTAWA being and end with the letter T? I did 6!/2! :S but i get 360. I tried 6P2=30 I am getting it wrong... help please.

:/ The correct answer is 120. You are right in thinking that 6P2 = 30, however this represents the number of permutations that contain T as the second letter. To calculate the number of permutations that begin and end with T, use the formula 6P2/2! which gives a result of 120.
