How did Helen Keller enjoy her visit to the World Fair ?

Helen Keller had a wonderful time at the World Fair in 1904. She was a celebrated guest and she delighted in the dramatic wonders of the Fair. She marveled at the inventions she viewed, particularly the electric lights and newfangled typewriters. With her special vision and hearing, she was able to take in a great deal more than a sighted and hearing person would have. She experienced some of the attractions, like hot-air balloons, fireworks and a trip on the inclined planes, and felt them to her toes. She was charmed with the lectures on education and industry and the demonstrations of domestic science. Helen Keller also enjoyed meeting people who worked on the Fair, making new friends and connecting with old ones. Ultimately, the Fair was an exhilarating and unique experience for her.
