After the PharmD program are you officially a pharmacist or is there more education you have to go through?

Answers

Yes, upon completion of a pharmacy degree (PharmD), an individual is officially a pharmacist. However, some pharmacists may choose to pursue additional educational training through a residency program or a fellowship which offer additional training and specialist focus on a certain field of pharmacy. Becoming a Board Certified Pharmacy Specialist is a rigorous process of additional practice experience and exam pathways that require hands-on training and direct patient care.
