how do you draw tryptophan and i need to know what goes around the pentagon part etc. thanks

Answers

Tryptophan is an amino acid that has the molecular formula C11H12N2O2. To draw tryptophan, you will need to start with a pentagon, representing the 5-carbon sidechain of the molecule. Represented inside the pentagon will be a double bonded Oxygen (O=) and the Nitrogen (N). Next, draw the 4 hydrogen atoms that attach to the Nitrogen (H-N-H), and two Hydrogen atoms that attach to the Oxygen (H-O-H). Finally, draw two hydrogen atoms on the last Carbon and two Hydrogens on the middle Carbon atom, completing the molecule.
