What are the four basic levels of ecological study, and what is the focus of inquiry at each of these levels? I don't know what it's asking to start with and can't find anything relevant online, in my textbook or in my study guide! Since it says levels, I think it might be 1) individual 2) population 3) community 4)ecosystem.. but frankly I don't know.. please help!

1) Individual Level - Focus is the individual organism and the study of its characteristics, behavior and adaptations. 2) Population Level - Focus is on a group of the same species within an area, and their interactions via competition, predation, and other ecological principles. 3) Community Level - Focus is on the interactions between multiple species within an ecosystem, and how abiotic factors such as climate affect them. 4) Ecosystem Level - Focus is on the full range of living and non-living components within an area, and how they interact and depend on each other. This level also looks at the flow of energy and nutrients within the system.
