The equation for a nonlinear function is y=x^2-4. For my classmates to evaluate, I will enter the inputs of x=-2 and x=3. The outputs would then be y=-8 and y=11, respectively. Because this is a nonlinear function, the curve for it will not be a straight line. Therefore, when you plug in different inputs, the outputs are not evenly spaced.
