Why is coal considered to be the worst form of energy?

Answers

Coal is considered to be the worst form of energy because of its negative impacts on the environment. Coal burning produces large amounts of carbon dioxide and other pollutants, which contribute to air and water pollution. A major hazard associated with the use of coal is acid rain, which results from the sulfur dioxide released in coal combustion. Mining coal also has a detrimental effect on the environment, releasing hazardous substances and stripping away land. In addition, coal is a nonrenewable resource, meaning its finite supply will eventually be depleted. Burning coal for energy also produces ash, which can contain heavy metals, creating another pollution concern.
