How did the Connecticut Compromise and the Three Fifths Compromise help to diffuse much of the conflict?

Answers

The Connecticut Compromise, also known as Sherman's Compromise, was adopted in 1787 in order to regulate the ways in which the American legislation, as well as the representation of big and small states in the parliament, should be established. It also regulated bicameral legislation principles in such a way that both houses of the Parliament had proportionally equal representation of each state.
