How did Benjamin Franklin change the world?how would the world be different without his discovery?

Answers

One of Franklin's most useful inventions is connected not to electricity, but rather to optics; it is known that he suffered from presbyopia, and in order to compensate this disorder he invented eyeglasses in which the upper half of the lens was adjusted to enhance long-range vision, and the lower one - for reading. Such glasses are called bifocals, and are widely used all over the world even now. Benjamin Franklin also invented the lightning rod - a device, due to which our houses do not burn to the ground every time a lightning hits them. A lightning rod is a simple rod installed on a building's roof, and connected to the ground with a wire. When a lightning hits the rod, it runs down the wire and safely dissolves in soil.
